Therapy for the parts of life that feel difficult to navigate

You don't have to know exactly what you need before reaching out. Sometimes knowing this just aren’t going the way you want them to is enough. Therapy can be a place to slow down, understand what's happening beneath the surface, and begin creating meaningful change.

I provide individualized, trauma-informed therapy for adults and teens ages 16 and older throughout Arizona. My approach is collaborative and relational, drawing from evidence-based therapies and specialized trauma-focused approaches based on your goals, needs, and preferences.

How Can I Help?

Trauma, Complex Trauma & Dissociation

Trauma can continue to affect the way we see ourselves, relate to others, experience our bodies, and move through the world long after an event has ended.

Therapy can provide a space to safely explore these experiences, develop a greater sense of safety and connection, and process experiences that may still feel unresolved.

I work with clients experiencing the effects of single-incident trauma, complex trauma, relational trauma, and dissociation.

You may be experiencing:

  • Feeling disconnected from yourself or your emotions

  • Difficulty feeling safe or trusting others

  • Shame, guilt, or persistent negative beliefs about yourself

  • Emotional numbness or feeling overwhelmed by emotions

  • Relationship difficulties

  • Feeling stuck in patterns you understand intellectually but can't seem to change

  • Dissociation or feeling disconnected from your body or surroundings

Approaches that may be incorporated: EMDR, Brainspotting, parts work, somatic approaches, ACT, and other trauma-informed interventions.

Anxiety & OCD

Anxiety can make it difficult to quiet your mind, feel present, or trust yourself. OCD can create an exhausting cycle of intrusive thoughts, uncertainty, compulsions, reassurance-seeking, and avoidance.

Therapy can help you understand these patterns and develop a different relationship with uncomfortable thoughts, feelings, and uncertainty.

I provide therapy for anxiety and OCD, including concerns such as:

  • Persistent worry and overthinking

  • Panic and fear

  • Perfectionism

  • Intrusive thoughts

  • Reassurance-seeking

  • Compulsions and rituals

  • Avoidance

  • Fear of uncertainty

  • Social anxiety

  • Phobias

For OCD, treatment may incorporate Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), an evidence-based approach designed to help you gradually face feared thoughts, situations, or sensations while reducing reliance on compulsions and avoidance.

Approaches that may be incorporated: ERP, ACT, CBT, Brainspotting, and EMDR

Grief and Loss

Grief doesn't follow a predictable timeline, and it doesn't always look the way we expect.

Therapy can provide a space to process loss without judgment or pressure to "move on." We can make room for the complicated emotions that accompany grief while exploring how to continue moving forward without leaving your relationship with what you've lost behind.

Therapy may be helpful when you're experiencing:

  • The death of someone you love

  • Loss of a relationship

  • Major life changes

  • Changes in identity or family roles

  • Complicated or unexpected grief

  • Feelings of guilt, anger, sadness, or numbness

  • Difficulty adjusting to life after a loss

Self-Esteem & Self-Worth

The way we understand ourselves can shape our relationships, choices, boundaries, and ability to move through the world.

If you've spent years feeling "not good enough," criticizing yourself, people-pleasing, or measuring your worth against unrealistic expectations, therapy can help you begin developing a more compassionate and grounded relationship with yourself.

We may explore:

  • Negative beliefs about yourself

  • Shame and self-criticism

  • Perfectionism

  • People-pleasing

  • Difficulty setting boundaries

  • Comparison

  • Difficulty trusting yourself

  • Feeling disconnected from your identity

  • Relationship patterns that leave you feeling small or unseen

  • Approaches that may be incorporated: ACT, CBT, Brainspotting, and EMDR, Parts Work, Attachment-based therapies

How might we work together?

I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches and tailor treatment to the individual rather than relying on a single modality. Depending on your goals and needs, therapy may incorporate:

EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

Brainspotting
A body-based approach that can support the processing of difficult or distressing experiences.

Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP)
An evidence-based treatment for OCD and anxiety-related concerns.

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)
An approach that focuses on psychological flexibility, values, and building a meaningful life even in the presence of difficult thoughts and emotions.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
An approach that explores the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Skills-based therapy supporting emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness.

Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP)
A nervous-system-focused listening intervention that may be used as a complement to traditional therapy.

Attachment-based Therapy
explores how early relationships and experiences can shape the way we understand ourselves, connect with others, and navigate relationships, with an emphasis on building safety, trust, and secure connection.

Somatic Approaches
Improving the connection between the mind and body, helping you notice and work with physical sensations, emotions, and nervous system responses as part of the healing process.

Parts Work (Theory of Structural Dissociation and Ego State Therapy)
explores the different thoughts, emotions, and protective responses within us, helping us better understand where they come from and develop greater compassion, integration, and internal balance.

You don't need to know which service or treatment approach is right for you before reaching out. We can start with a conversation about what you're experiencing and determine whether Tiger's Eye Counseling is a good fit for your needs.

Your therapy should be individualized

You are not a diagnosis, and your treatment shouldn't be either.

Two people can experience anxiety, trauma, OCD, or grief in very different ways. That's why I take time to understand your individual experiences, strengths, needs, and goals before determining what approaches may be most helpful.

We will work collaboratively throughout the therapeutic process, adjusting treatment as your needs and goals evolve.
